KOMAN has its primary offices in
Anchorage, Alaska, and competes throughout the U.S. KOMAN is a
100% Alaskan Native Corporation-owned 8(a) certified company
licensed by the State of Alaska to provide civil engineering,
mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical
engineering, and architectural design and construction services.
Along with its strategic Teaming Agreements with Alaska
Mechanical,Inc., Applied Marine Technology, Inc. (AMTI), and
USKH, a design
and consulting firm, KOMAN stands ready to supply a highly
trained and available workforce for projects both large and
small.
KOMAN, Inc. has worked with the
U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Coast Guard, National Park Service, U.S.
National Guard, U.S. Army, Salvation Army, Skagway Museum,
Aleutiq Museum in Kodiak, and on multiple other projects.
Origins
In an effort to create
diversified cash flows, the Natives of Kodiak,
Inc. (NOK) formed KOMAN, Inc. in April of 2002. KOMAN, Inc.
seeks contracting opportunities within the governmental
contracting program. The U.S. government continues to identify
those activities that should be outsourced to the private sector
in an on-going attempt to improve efficiency, cut costs to
taxpayers and provide significant contracting opportunities to
8(a) companies.
