Kodiak Support Services, J.V.
(KSS) is a wholly owned joint venture of KOMAN, Inc. and
Inuit Services, a subsidiary of the Bering Straits Native
Corporation.
In August 2006, KSS was awarded a Base Operating
Support Services (BOSS) contract for the U.S. Coast Guard
facilities on Kodiak, Alaska. This base is the largest Coast
Guard facility in the world.
KSS contract responsibilities include management
of the steam plant, equipment repair and maintenance, taxiway
maintenance, building maintenance, water and sewer system
management, lawn care, janitorial services, road maintenance, and
most other Base support services. With exception of runway and
aircraft maintenance, KSS is essentially responsible for all Base
day-to-day maintenance and operations activities. Over the
ultimate 10-year period, the Kodiak BOSS contract value is
approximately $136 million.

GMC Holdings, JV
GMC Holdings is a joint venture with GMC
Contracting. As a relocation contractor, the company works with
the Kulis Alaska Air National Guard and Base Closure and
Realignment (BRAC). The Air National Guard is administered by the
National Guard Bureau, a joint bureau of the Departments of the
Army and Air Force, located in the Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
Congress established the 2005 BRAC Commission to ensure the
integrity of the base closure and realignment process. KOMAN
participates as relocation contractor for both units.
